Crunchy Kiwi Strawberry Sundae- Cooking Crazy, Show #2 with Princess Penelope

Crunchy Kiwi Strawberry Sundae

Vanilla ice cream

Fresh Bluberries
Chocolate Sauce that hardens when in contact with cold

*Crunchy Lace Cookie
** Kiwi Strawberry Sauce 

Layer the ingredients, as desired, in a parfait glass and enjoy!

*Crunchy Lace Cookie
3/4 cup walnuts, very finely chopped
3/4 cup brown sugar
6 tablespoons butter, melted
5 tablespoons flour
3 tablespoons milk
3/4 teaspoon vanilla

Heat oven to 375º F. Grease two large baking sheets. Combine all "cookie" ingredients and drop by tablespoon amounts onto the cookie sheet two inches apart. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove immediately to wax paper. *The cookies will not look beautiful. Allow to harden then crumble and set aside.

**Kiwi Strawberry Sauce
8 Medium Strawberries
1 Whole Kiwi, peeled and chopped
1/2-3/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup cold water
1 heaping teaspoon cornstarch

In a small cup combine the cold water and cornstarch; set aside.   In a small sauce pan bring the strawberries, kiwi, and sugar to a boil; stirring constantly.  Pour the cornstarch mixture in and stir until thickened and bubbly; remove from heat.  Allow it to reach room temperature before serving.  You can store this in an airtight container in the fridge.

Yields: ~1 1/2 cups
