Homemade Hummus...MyCreativeStirrings STYLE
5 cups cooked and drained chickpeas/garbanzo beans*
12 oz. roasted red peppers, drained
1/8-1/2 cup water (depending on desired consistency)
1/4 cup lime juice
1 1/2 tablespoons tahini
2 1/2 teaspoons salt
2 1/2 teaspoons minced garlic
1 3/4 teaspoon sarocha (or more!)
1 teaspoon cumin

Placing the red peppers first, combine all ingredients in a blender and process until smooth.  Store in an air tight container in the fridge or freezer!
Yields: ~5 cups

This hummus is great served with bread, chips, crackers, vegetables, or homemade pita pockets.  You can find oodles of recipes for pita pockets on-line!

*Helpful tip- dry chickpeas/garbanzo beans increase by 3 times their original size when cooked.
