Heartfelt Dinner Conversation

Heartfelt Dinner Conversation
A fun family activity to play for 14 nights over dinner

INSTRUCTIONS: Print off the following list.  Then, cut and fold each slip and place in a bowl.  Put the bowl in the center of your dinner table.  Each night, during dinner, pull one paper from the bowl and read aloud.  Allow every family member to participate with each assignment (if you have a baby, skip them on assignments that require speaking).

*Variation- You could read these all over one dinner for a fun Valentine's Day activity with your sweetheart.

Conversation List:
Give the person to your right 2 compliments
Hug the person to your left.  Then, kiss their hand.  If you have small children you are not allowed to wipe their love off until after the mealJ.

Have each person share three traits they want in a future sweetheart.  If you are already married, share with your family three traits you sought for and found in your sweetheart.

Allow everyone to share their feelings on the topic of love.

Ask each person, regardless of age, to describe their dream date.

Give the person to your left 2 compliments.

Hug the person to your right with your elbows.  Then, kiss their elbow.  If you have small children you are not allowed to wipe their love off until after the mealJ.

Ask each person to share their best Valentine memory.

Ask each person to share their funniest Valentine memory.

Have everyone set a Valentine themed service goal to carry out in the month of February.  Ideas- send valentine wishes to a lonely neighbor, hug three people, kiss your sweetheart five times everyday...

Allow each person to share a 2 minute Valentine story...that has to incorporate “love”.

Have everyone share their favorite Valentine colors?

As a family plan one fun Valentine activity to carry out in the month of February.  Ideas- go out for ice cream, host a game night, plan a party and invite friends, have a “love” movie marathon...

Take turns allowing each person to stand up and perform a quick Valentine Jig (dance).

Robin directed me to your blog! So cute! I'm a holiday nut, so this is my dream come true! Such cute ideas!! Our anniversary is Valentines and my two oldest are girls who appreciate this stuff, so I love to find fun things to do in February to celebrate!

AmyLyn,

I am glad you found us and hope you enjoy your visits!

I also wanted to say that my kids LOVE this activity and look forward to playing this game at dinner every night. Last night they were bummed to find out that this activity would only last 14 nights. Maybe the exciting conversation will continue past 14 days :).
