Homemade Salsa from a Can of Tomatoes!

Make Salsa from ingredients in YOUR cupboard...
Recipe using a 14.5 oz. Can of Tomatoes
1- 14.5 oz. can tomatoes, drained
2 teaspoons dehydrated onion or 1 teaspoon onion powder
2 teaspoons lime juice
1 1/2 teaspoons diced jalapenos
1 teaspoon minced garlic
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teapsoon pepper

Place all ingredients in the blender and puree.  Serve immediately or store covered in the fridge for 1 1/2 weeks.  Created by mycreativestirrings.com.

Recipe using an 8 oz. Can of Tomato Sauce
1- 8 oz. can tomato sauce
3/4 teaspoon hot sauce
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon lime juice
1/8 teaspoon pepper

Using a spoon combine all ingredients in a small bowl.  Serve immediately or store covered in the fridge for 1 1/2 weeks.  Created by mycreativestirrings.com.

These recipes were designed to be basic medium heat salsa recipes.  Don't hesitate to add fresh ingredients for texture (i.e. cilantro, green chilies...).  I tried to keep these as simple as possible so more people could make them.
