Healthy Avocado Bean Dip

1 (15 oz.) can white beans, drained but not rinsed
1 medium avocado
1/8 cup lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon cumin
1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Combine all ingredients in a blender.  Serve as a spread on sandwiches, in pita pockets, or with chips and salsa.

*As I was making dinner one night I needed a spread for pita pockets.  I wanted to make hummus but came to a realization that hummus called for garbanzo beans.  I only had white beans and so I decided to try it out.  This dip came out surprisingly good and is incredibly healthy for you.  Feel free to throw additional items into your blender like tomatoes.

Brett and I were totally looking for a good avocado dip recipe! How funny! You were reading our minds...and the paper...did you see Dan's sale for Avocados? Good deal! 78 cents per avocado. Can't beat it!

White beans, avocado.. does it get any better than this? I am drooling over here. Now, if only I could magically make those ingredients appear in my kitchen.
