1 (15 oz.) can white beans, drained but not rinsed
1 medium avocado
1/8 cup lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon cumin
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Combine all ingredients in a blender. Serve as a spread on sandwiches, in pita pockets, or with chips and salsa.
*As I was making dinner one night I needed a spread for pita pockets. I wanted to make hummus but came to a realization that hummus called for garbanzo beans. I only had white beans and so I decided to try it out. This dip came out surprisingly good and is incredibly healthy for you. Feel free to throw additional items into your blender like tomatoes.
