Crocheted Flowers

I have two adorable hats my parents bought for my daughters that have crocheted flowers.  Everytime my girls wear these hats they get oodles of compliments.  So, I decided I wanted to learn how to crochet flowers.

For a long time I only knew how to crochet one stitch and I had the hardest time reading patterns. Well...my sister in laws came to the rescue! They taught me many good things! Before learning enough to follow a pattern I fiddled around and came up with this lovely creation. If anyone really wants the pattern let me know and I will figure one out.

The middle is a fabric button that I made.  You can buy button making supplies at craft stores for less than $2.  I have to say I was rather happy with my make-shift flower.  However, I wanted to learn more so after many questions I learned a little bit more and made the following: (these are not my original designs)

Yeah for flowers!

Cute! You are amazing! I've been wanting to learn to crochet for awhile but haven't been as good about learning as you. Can I get a tutorial now that you're an expert? :)
